Here it is: Well, you told us that in the sentence ” the cat is tired”, “tired” is an adjective, So my question is,: Why is it an adjective, you mention it is how the cat feels, but wouldnt it be the verb “to tire” conjugated with the verb “to be” which would lead us to the past particple of the verb “to tire – tired”? I mean past particple having in sight my own language because I know it may be the past as well. If you please could help me out *.* I would really appreciate it. I have been watching all of your lessons and I do appreciate ’em very much, besides your teaching ways are amazing, however, even though I am a fluent english speaker ( have got mistakes, o’course) I have already taught English here in Brazil, I still have this amateur question.
